BBC acquires four-part German drama series based on non-fiction book
The Black Forest Murders is based on the non-fiction book SOKO Erle and follows the investigation into the murders of two young women in southern Germany. The series will stream on BBC iPlayer and air on BBC Four later this year.
Scottish thriller Summerwater finishes shooting in time for summer
Based on the best-selling novel by Sarah Moss, Summerwater looks at the tense interactions among visitors to a remote loch-side Scottish holiday cabin park. The six-part series will premiere on Channel 4 in the UK later this year; no official release date given.
True-life crime drama The Hack will appear on ITV later this year
The seven-part series stars David Tennant, and Toby Jones, who play two key figures in the phone hacking scandal. The series is currently in post-production having filmed during 2024. The Hack will air on ITV and STV in the UK and on Stan in Australia.
