Swedish crime drama Blood Sacrifice now #3 on Netflix’s top 10
Jakob Oftebro stars as a police detective who is trying to stop a killer targeting police officers on a weekly basis. He gets assistance from his estranged father, who happens to be an ex-cop. Variety describes the show as “intense, bloody and thought-provoking…much more than a standard murder mystery.”
Your first look at second series of BBC drama This City Is Ours
BBC has release the first images of the series, which follows the fortunes of the Kavanagh organised crime family. Currently being filmed in Liverpool, the series will return this fall to BBC One and BBC iPlayer. James Nelson-Joyce returns as leading gang member Michael Kavanagh, with Hannah Onslow as his partner Diana Williams. Creator and writer Stephen Butchard created the show as a way to capture the vibrancy of his native city.
ITV shows first images of new crime drama about forensic pathologist
Winter is based on an unconventional forensic pathologist who helps police solve complicated police murder cases. The premise is similar to French crime drama, Balthazar. Richard Armitage stars in the title role and is joined by Annabel Scholey, who plays DI Lauren Bell. Winter will debut on ITV later this year.
