Looking Forward to Fall

After record summer heat in the U.S. and Europe, many of us are looking forward to fall for cooler temps and ...new crime dramas to watch. Here are some that I think are worth catching in the next few months.

US

Season 5 of Unforgotten is available in early September on MASTERPIECE on PBS, Prime Video and Apple TV. Watch the team face the challenges of solving a murder that occurred 40 years ago and adjusting to a new team leader.

Based on an actual case in Britain, The Sixth Commandment tells how two elderly neighbors were manipulated by a young con artist and the complications in building a case against him. It's available Oct. 4 on BritBox.

In Murder In..., viewers get to solve a mystery while experiencing different regions of France. Season 11 begins Oct. 10 on MHz Choice.

UK

In Crime Season 2, Scottish star Dougray Scott returns in the role of troubled DI Ray Lennox in the Edinburgh Serious Crimes unit. It's available Sept. 17 on ITVx.

Series 2 of Hidden Assets will debut on RTE in Ireland this fall; no exact date yet. Set between Limerick and Antwerp, this series features Nora-Jane Noone as the lead DS at the Irish Criminal Assets Bureau.

Denmark

Sofie Gråbøl (The Killing) and David Dencik star in "The House," which centers on four officers who struggle to get a handle on the internal lines in this gritty prison drama. It begins Sept. 3 on DRTV in Denmark and will hopefully expand to streaming services later in the year.
